Last Updated: March 2026
The Good Old Daze exists to preserve, celebrate, and share the memories, culture, and spirit of American life from the 1950s through the 1970s. Our curation policy governs how we select content, verify historical accuracy, source photographs and media, and handle community contributions. We are committed to presenting nostalgic content that is authentic, respectful, and historically grounded.
Every piece of content published on The Good Old Daze is evaluated against the following criteria before publication:
We take the sourcing of historical photographs seriously. Images used on The Good Old Daze are sourced from one of the following categories:
If you believe any image on our Website infringes your copyright, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will investigate and remove the image promptly if necessary.
We strive for historical accuracy in all our articles and posts. Our fact-checking process includes cross-referencing claims with at least two independent sources, consulting historical records and archives where available, and clearly distinguishing between established historical fact and personal recollection or popular memory. When we are uncertain about a specific detail, we say so rather than presenting speculation as fact.
We acknowledge that nostalgia is inherently subjective and that memories of the past are shaped by personal experience. Our content celebrates the emotional truth of the era while maintaining factual integrity. If you spot a factual error in any of our content, please contact us ā we take corrections seriously and will update content promptly.
The Good Old Daze welcomes memories, photographs, and stories from our community. All community submissions are reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to edit submissions for length, clarity, and style while preserving the original voice and intent. Submissions that contain false information, copyright-infringing material, offensive content, or content unrelated to our era focus will not be published.
By submitting content, you confirm that you own or have the rights to share the material and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We give credit to community contributors whenever possible.
When we discover or are informed of an error in our content, we correct it promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with a brief description of what was changed and when. We do not silently alter published content in ways that change its meaning without disclosure. Our goal is to maintain a trustworthy archive of nostalgic content that our community can rely on.
In keeping with our commitment to a positive, respectful community, The Good Old Daze does not publish:
